CSR Activity in the Villages

  • Weekend Joy to the villages!

  • A fun CSR activity for IT Co!

  • My best birthday says newly-wed wife on her 1st seva together

  • Notebooks & Stationary, slippers and goodies for village children

On 28th May 2022, Sadhu Vaswani Mission ventured on its weekly seva to the remote villages. This time a 17-member team from Sagitec Solutions Pvt Ltd joined the Mission in CSR Activity.

5 vehicles with volunteers and loaded with Stationary & Books, Joy Packets, Footwear, and Ration Kits zipped to Mil Katharwadi & Sajgaon Katharwadi in Raigad.

The Sagitec team shared, “We actively participate in CSR activities which involve donating to causes. But this was a one-of-a-kind experience. Today, we got to witness the ground reality, meet the recipients, and serve them with our own hands. It was thrilling!”

”To watch the kids try their footwear, check their joy packets for the goodies they received, and the sheer, pure happiness on seeing fresh new books for their new academic year, is a joy that cannot be put into words. The eagerness with which they watch our cars knowing we are having something for them is endearing,” they added.

One of the IT professionals made a pleasant and playful comment, saying, “The seva experience brought us more joy than cracking a code!”

The Mission has undertaken seasonal sevas. With the academic year starting soon and children tragically dropping out of schools for want of notebooks, the Mission realizing the immediate need for it carried out the distribution of notebooks & stationary. We also gave the children slippers so they need not be barefoot and can walk comfortably to their schools. The idea is to equip them for an unhampered education.

Among the volunteers was a newly-wed couple whose wife was celebrating her birthday, who said, “It is a doubly-blessed day for us. This is our first seva together, and indeed the best birthday I could have looked forward to.”

Joining in the conversations, the employees at Sagitec shared, “It was a unique experience for us. We actively participate in CSR activities which involve donating to causes. But this was a one-of-a-kind experience. We rarely have the opportunity to go and carry out the service. Today, we got to see the ground reality, meet the beneficiaries, and serve them with our own hands. It was thrilling!”

On this day, the Mission distributed ration kits to 157 families, 10 tarpaulin sheets with 10 ropes to protect the families from the oncoming monsoons, 260 slippers, 200 joy kits, 63 kits of stationery and books – 4 notebooks and stationery to 38 children from primary school and 6 notebooks, 1 graph book and 1 geometry box to 25 children from high school.
