Dada Leela - A Theatrical Play from Sadhu Vaswani's life.

24th November 2019

Clarion calls of ‘Jai Mata Ki’ and ‘Jai Dada Ki’ set the tone for the annual spectacle — Dada Leela.

Year after year, the St. Mira’s College, Pune presents the Dada Leela, depicting the life and teachings of Sadhu Vaswani. This year, the performers set for themselves a benchmark difficult to outshine probably even by themselves.

Dada Leela, 2019 was a theatrical that portrayed Goddesses from Laxmi to Saraswati to Durga to Santoshi; mother divine who blessed this world with a sage, a saint — Gurudev Sadhu Vaswani. A life portrayal of Sadhu Vaswani’s from his birth extending to his bond with Beloved Dada J. P. Vaswani was strikingly presented through a blend of classical dance, voiceovers and acts. The professional performance, exceptional use of light and sound and soulful music brought about an effect that moved audiences to tears.

On the performance, Didi Krishna Kumari said, “The performance brought to life Gurudev Sadhu Vaswani. It was truly nostalgic, bringing back beautiful, cherished memories of him. It is truly our fortune that today we could witness the life and teachings of Gurudev in this 45-minute performance.”

Dr Gulshan Gidwani, Principal St. Mira’s College for Girls, said, “Today, at the beginning of the performance, I felt, if Beloved Dada is not present, we cannot do this. But I actually saw Dada and the performance my students put up today was beyond my expectations. I thank them and particularly my colleague, Savni Antarkar, for she is the one who is blessed to be a channel to receive what Dada wants her to do.”

The Dada Leela, 2019 gave to the Sadhu Vaswani Mission a truly mystical evening. The session concluded with the serving of prasad.
