Rev. Dada J. P. Vaswani’s Birthday Celebrations started on 20 July, 2012 with the recitation of Gita shlokas in the melodious voice of the Great Master Sadhu Vaswani.
Then the singers of Sadhu Vaswani School and a group of students of Sadhu Vaswani Shikshan Kala Kendra captured the audience with sweet and melodious songs and doha’s of Saints like Kabir, Tulsidas and Surdas and concluded with the forgiveness song.
In Sadhu Vaswani Pre-Primary School, the little ones spread Rev. Dada’s Message by reciting – I FORGIVE ALL, I LOVE ALL in Hindi, Sindhi, Gujarati, English and Urdu languages. Many parents also came to the programme and many spoke on forgiveness.
One of them said, “If you forgive a person before you sleep, God will forgive you before you are awake the next morning.” Another quoted words of Jesus when He was crucified, “Father forgive them, for they know not what they do.”
In the other Sadhu Vaswani English Medium School, the auspicious occasion of 94th Birthday of Rev. Dada J. P. Vaswani too was celebrated in a unique way. The students shared their personal experiences on forgiveness after which the song written by Dr. Kala Vijani Principal and Khanjana Vaswada created a magical atmosphere in the function.
The celebration also involved the students serving the children of slum areas with biscuits and other goodies. It also involved feeding birds with grains. The school also took the initiative of serving the children with clothes and biscuits in the Mother Teresa Orphanage.
Believing in “Serving friends by friends”, led them to visit a village called ‘Vasawad’, situated 75 km from Rajkot at Pratiksha Bhavan, where the poor girls reside, whose parents are suffering from Aids.
The school also took pride in organizing the activity based on Beloved Dadaji’s teaching about “World Wide Peace”. Students from primary section participated in drawing competition, hence propagating peace and high school students appeared for an essay writing competition on account of Rev. Dadaji’s birthday.
They also held a forgiveness day Programme in order to spread the message of peace among their students and other NGOs. Students gave speech on “Forgiveness” and “Life & Teachings of Dada J. P. Vaswani.” They held presentations on “The Moment of Calm” to spread the feeling of forgiveness to the masses.
