National Seminar on
“Contribution of Sadhu Vaswani in the field of
Sindhi Literature, Culture and Education”

Sadhu Vaswani International School for Girls, New Delhi, organized a one-day National Seminar on “Contribution of Sadhu Vaswani in the field of Sindhi Literature, Culture and Education” in collaboration with National Council for Promotion of Sindhi Language, Ministry of HRD, Govt of India on Tuesday April 24, 2012, in the School Auditorium. The Literary Event was graced by the members of Sadhu Vaswani Mission (SVM), New Delhi, Chairperson Mrs. Sarla Ahuja, Mrs. Vimla Datwani, former Chairperson and Trustee, Secretary Ms. Malani Mathrani, Mr. Ram Dudani, Convener and Mr. Nirmal Goplani, Director, NCPSL, New Delhi and all members of NCPSL. The Guest of Honour of the session was Mr. Inder Gurnani. Dr. M. K. Jetly, Ms. Veena Shringi, Mr. Hiro Thakur, Anand Khemani, Dr. Ravi Prakash Tekchandani and Mrs. Renu Idnani were among the distinguished dignitaries.

The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp invoking blessing of Sadhu Vaswani, founder of SVM. In the inaugural session, Ms. Malani Mathrani read out the message of Rev. Dada J.P. Vaswani, Spiritual Head of SVM.

Rev. Dada, in his inspiring message, expressed his joy on organizing such seminars extolling the contribution of his spiritual Master, Sadhu Vaswani in the field of Sindhi literature, culture and education.

Ms. Rastogi, Principal SVISG, New Delhi welcomed the audience and through a presentation apprised them of the school’s inspiring journey of 25 years.

Mr. Nirmal Goplani introduced NCPSL and the various schemes launched by the organization to keep the Sindhi language and its interest alive among the new generation. He added that such platforms will definitely help in promoting Sindhi culture & language.

The inaugural write-up sent by Prof. Ishwari Jotwani (Pune) was read out by Mrs. Vimla K. Datwani. The key note address sent by Mrs. Rita Shahani, Pune was presented by Mr. Ram Dudani.

At the end of the inaugural session, Guest of Honour, Mr. Inder Gurnani, mentioned the endeavor put in by NCPSL to promote Sindhi literature.

In the academic session after tea break, three papers were presented. Dr. M. K. Jetly presented his paper on “Contribution of Sadhu Vaswani in the field of Sindhi Education”, Ms. Veena Shringi read out her paper on “Contribution of Sadhu Vaswani in the field of Sindhi Literature” and Mr. Hiro Thakur presented his paper on “Contribution of Sadhu Vaswani in the field of Sindhi Culture”. The afternoon session was chaired by Mr. Anand Khemani and compered by Dr. Ravi Prakash Tekchandani.

After lunch, a classical soul stirring solo classical dance recital was staged by Mrs. Namrata Pamnani on the theme “Sadhu Vaswani: The Saint of Modern Times”, which was appreciated by one and all. The choreography was based on the verses of Noori Granth.

All the SVM members, Director and members of NCPSL, Speakers and Artists were felicitated. The session was successfully coordinated by Mrs. Indira Tekchandani Sindhi Teacher, SVISG. The Programme culminated with a Vote of Thanks, proposed by Mrs. Nirmal Bhalla, Vice Principal, SVISG.
