On Oct. 5, the Jr. KG students were dressed as characters from nursery rhymes and on Oct. 6, the Sr. KG students were dressed as characters from children?s stories.
Some of the characters were Shravan Kumar, cap seller, Jhansi ki Rani, doctor, patient, fairy, soldier, evil queen, wood cutter, sonpari, police officer, Sant Tukaram, Mermaid, Shakuntala, Tenali Rama, shepherd, Swami Vivekananda, adivasi, Cinderella, a rat, a tortoise, River Goddess, snowman, etc.
The children were graded on their costume, presentation and dialogue. Three judges on both days were present to judge the fancy dress competition. The parents were also present for moral support to their children.
Dada J.P. Vaswani, before leaving for Mumbai on Oct. 5, met some of the little participants at the Samadhi of Sadhu Vaswani. Several devotees were present at the Samadhi to receive Dadaji?s blessings since Dadaji was leaving Pune for almost whole month of October. Seeing little children dressed as mermaid, Mira bai, soldier, etc., some of the devotees forgot their sorrow of departing from their Master for so many weeks.
Hats off to the parents and St. Mira?s school for their tireless efforts in sowing the right type of seeds in the hearts of their children!
