Sadhu Vaswani Mission?s affiliated institution, St. Mira?s Primary School, in Pune, celebrated St. Francis Day and World Animal Rights Day on Oct 4, 2006.

St. Francis loved animals. In their sanctuary, which is prayer assembly of the school, the children were given information about St. Francis and stories from his life were narrated to them.

Afterwards, there was a rally where the children went round the campus of the Sadhu Vaswani Mission. The children had made placards with beautiful slogans and paintings. They shouted slogans like, ‘Creation is one family’, ‘All life is sacred’, ‘Compassion in action’, ‘Birds and Animals are our brothers and sisters’, ‘Jeeyo aur Jeene do’, ‘Bhakri Kha Bakri Nako’, and so on. The slogans were for protection of birds and animals which beautify nature. Most of these slogans are given by Revered Sadhu Vaswani, the Founder of the St. Mira’s School, to create awareness for the protection of the animals in the minds of the little ones.

Some little ones of the Nursery school came to Dada J.P. Vaswani for blessings on Oct 4th morning. Their innocent smiling faces and twinkling eyes won the hearts of devotees present there. Dadaji took blessings of these little ones and gave them sweets.
