With joy and gratitude we greet this glorious Father’s Day—-gratitude to the Divine Father for bestowing on us the joy of the presence of our spiritual Father, our Guru, our Master, our beloved Dada. Having Dada in our midst on this day is the greatest gift on earth.
What has this marvelous Father not done for us? He makes each one of us feel close and an integral part of him. He embraces all our problems and in exchange showers us with all his love and warmth. This Father firmly guides, gently corrects and warmly supports us at every step. Without this Father we are lost, aimless and directionless. May the good Lord continue to bless with this wonderful Dad(a) of ours with health, strength and vigor.
Dada’s physical progress has been slow, but it is sure and steady, making it definite that he will come out of all this a true winner. Dada takes his physiotherapy with enthusiasm, and this has helped to build up a decent appetite. Attempts are made to take him out of his room daily, in a wheelchair, to get some fresh air. Dada will shortly be discharged from the hospital and will be moving into a private residence. He will continue with his physiotherapy and other treatments, on an out-patient basis.
Dadi Janki Visits Chicago
Dadi Janki slipped away from Regional Coordinator meetings at Peace Village for one day to visit a great spiritual leader and inaugurate the new Chicago center, her first visit to this city in 16 years.
Dada Vaswani, the highly revered spiritual leader of the Sindhis, very close to dadi Janki in many ways including physical age, was in treatment in Chicago following a serious accident. Dada Vaswani has been a longtime supporter of the BKs and personal friend
of Dadi. Dadi went to the hospital where he is receiving intense daily physical therapy following a serious fall. First Dadi greeted a small group of Dada’s trusted followers from around the world who are taking care of him in the hospital. They all knew Dadi because they had watched the video of a conversation between Dada and Dadi from last year’s Parliament of World Religions in Melbourne. Dadi praised Dada’s good qualities of humility, simplicity and truthfulness, acknowledging how she has learned from him over the years. She inspired the followers to not just take from Dada but become like him and share his gifts with the world.

It was on 7th May, that fateful day, that Dada had his fall, with such massive repercussions. It is a month since then. What do we call this month? When asked, Dada said for me it has been a Month of Mercy. For God, in His infinite mercy, has chosen me to bear this cross of pain and suffering, in order to lighten the load of others and bring comfort and relief to their stressful lives.
This is not as far-fetched as it sounds. Throughout this month, we have been receiving messages from around the world, from devotees who have experienced respite from their problems in different ways. A devotee in his early seventies had a major fall, but recuperated from the ensuing surgery in no time, and is normal and mobile. Another one had developed muscle damage near the hips and had been experiencing pain for over seven months. No medication would help. Now she is pain-free and going about her regular chores.
Mira Movement in Education - It all started with a 2-Paisa Coin
Sadhu Vaswani Mission celebrated the 77th Foundation Day of its St. Mira’s Movement in Education on June 4, 2010.
Keeping in accordance with the time at which Sadhu Vaswani had inaugurated the Movement 77 years ago, the events started off at 5:00 a.m. in the morning with Havan and readings from various scriptures including the Nuri Granth, a collection of spiritual songs penned by Sadhu Vaswani.
In the afternoon satsang, bhajans dedicated to St. Mira, patron of the St. Mira Movement, were sung with deep fervor by two teachers of St. Mira’s College for Girls, filling the satsang hall with mystic energy of St. Mira’s divine love for her beloved Lord Krishna, followed by langar (community meal).
Update on Rev. Dada -
For a couple of days, Dada had come down with slight fever. Dr. Ramesh Chablani left no stone unturned to see that Dada received the best and appropriate care. Now, by God’s grace, Dada’s temperature is back to normal and his progress is going on as per the doctors’ expectations.
Dada often inquires about his devotees and well-wishers all over the world. He is extremely grateful to each one for the prayers and love sent to him, which has provided him with strength and brought about this stage of recovery. Dada continues to be extremely alert and passes on his blessings and teachings to all those he comes into contact with.
Yesterday, Dada narrated a beautiful story about an elderly carpenter who had worked hard his entire life. He approached his employer and requested that, considering his age, he should be allowed to retire, even though he would miss his regular paycheck.
