• KK Eye Institute - Biannual Report (January - June 2009)
  The team from Central Government of India—consisting of officials of the National Programme of Control of Blindness visited the K K Eye Institute with the purpose of auditing the activities and workings of the organization. Representatives from the Central Government are known to be very strict about implementations of guidelines for all activities of medical organizations. These officials included Mr. A. K. Sharma, Under Secretary (Finance-P), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, who was  impressed with the protocols and quality of ophthalmic care dispensed to the patients and said, “I am really been impressed by the noble cause the hospital has taken for the poor blind people.” Accompanied by Mr. Sharma was Dr. A.S. Rathod, Ast. Director General, Health Services (NPCB) Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. He said that he was “impressed with the innovative intervention of the K K Eye Institute.”

The Walk for Hope was organized by the Sadhu Vaswani Center, Jakarta at the Bung Karno Sports Complex Plaza Tenggara, Senayan, South Jakarta. It was spearheaded amongst others by Simran Nandwani, Operational Manager of  Limbs for Limbless Foundation. Many dignitaries were present including from HSBC and Guiness Book of Records, Jakarta.
The Walk for Hope was organized to help the handicapped walk again. An ever-young Dada was just as excited to take part - calling it not a day to talk, but a day to walk - at the link above -
