Bihar Revisited – Rehab Work Continues…
A year has passed by since that fateful morning of 18 Aug 2008 when thousands of lives were uprooted by flood waters that drowned the whole of Northern Bihar.
Exactly a year later, on 18 Aug 2009, a team of 4 volunteers (Sunder Parwani from Panama, Mohan Lalwani, Kishin Srikrishnani and Ashok Rajpal) of the Sadhu Vaswani Mission headed back a third time, to the flood-affected parts of the State, to further the much-needed rehabilitation work for the people living there.
Among the many events being organized in connection to Rev. Dada J. P. Vaswani’s visit to the city of Bangalore, probably the most talked about among them all was the Youth Meet on 15 Sept 2009, aptly titled as ‘YOUth Make The World’. Inclusive of a Question-Answer session with Rev. Dada, young minds at the event, also were to get a chance to interact with popular youth icons Pankaj Advani (World billiards professional champion 2009), Robin Uthappa (Indian cricketer), Ramya (leading actress of the south) and Mohit Lalwani (top 6 of Indian Idol Show). The event was held at the St. Joseph’s College, Bangalore.
Dada Sings Merrily, after Ruh-Rihan - at Bangalore
Making the most of Rev. Dada’s visit to the city, devotees gathered at the Chowdiah Memorial Hall, Bangalore on 16 Sept 2009 to celebrate the 91st birthday of beloved Dada. The occasion saw a turnout of about 1000 people from across the world, gathered together to partake of Rev. Dada’s love and blessings and to hear to his words of eternal wisdom.
He served the Mission for 65 years
Baba Gangaram Sajandas was fondly remembered at the Sadhu Vaswani Mission at his anniversary on Sept 14, 2009.
Akhand Kirtan was done in the day with Langar Prasad for the devotees. Later in the evening satsang, from the video archives, Rev. Dada’s words brought alive the wonderful qualities of Baba Gangaram.
Pune Ashram Celebrates Ganesh Utsav
The blessed day of Ganesh Chaturthi dawned on August 23rd and the Pune Ashram started preparing for their new guest - Lord Ganesh. Soon the satsang hall of the Ashram came alive as a beautiful idol of Lord Ganesh, decked with flowers and lights all around, was seated besides the portrait of Sadhu Vaswani.
The next 11 days, devotees partook in His vibrations as they sang to Lord Ganesh’s Glory - Jai Ganesh Jai Ganesh Jai Ganesh Devaa..
