Rev. Dada pays homage to Sadhu Vaswani at the Opening Session

Sindhis may have lost their land of Sind, but the manner in which they have incorporated themselves in every walk of Indian life, has made them become an inherent part of India; making all of India their homeland.
In honour of this year of Revered Dada J.P. Vaswani’s 90th birthday, the Sadhu Vaswani Mission held two-day a Sindhi Convention, wherein over 300 Sindhi participants, from every corner of India came together. The member surged further, with local Sindhis from Pune and some even from foreign lands, who came to add their encouragement and support.

Today was the 1st day of the Thanksgiving week at the Sadhu Vaswani Mission, wherein bouquets of gratitude and love were placed at God’s doorstep, for having taken care of, and providing good health and long life to our beloved Dada J. P. Vaswani.

Upon A Thatched Village
The next venue for Sadhu Vaswani Mission’s Balmela was set amidst picturesque, natural surroundings; a village untainted yet by modernization. The premises of the Vadgaon Shinde Zila Parishad’s primary school utterly minimal – classes with no chairs for the students, not even a desk for the teachers. Here, the students study by sitting on the floor. Gathered for the occasion were also students from two other schools - a secondary school and another school run by the Zila Parishad

Bal Mela at Yashwant Rao Chawan Municipal Institute
Where Kids Ruled the Day!
As the volunteer vans entered the Vasantrao Chavan Muncipal Schools’ premises in Pune, one couldn’t help but notice the whiff of excitement and joy that hung in the air there. The venue for another Balmela by Sadhu Vaswani Mission, the government-run school premises was already bursting with loud happy noises of more than 500 students. The fun-fair being held was part of Revered Dada J. P. Vaswani’s 90th birthday celebrations this year.

Sayaka Sawada, a young Japanese lady, from Yokohama, Japan was our guest volunteer for a week. Staying at the Ashram, she served the poor, went to institutions with volunteers to serve the sick and attended the Bhajan Kirtan sessions at the Ashram, Satsang Hall and the Sacred Kutiya. The language not a barrier, for she was conversant with the language of love.
