For the First time ever , The International meatless day was celebrated on 25 nov in Sari city, Iran.
About 1000 persons in 50 different places ( high schools and universities) attended in this event.

The K K Eye Institute with a major thrust towards Community Opthalmology works towards a mission to combat eye diseases and reduce avoidable blindness through a comprehensive approach to eye care. In adherence to the Mission philosophy of service to the Poorest of the Poor, a free cataract surgery programmer was launched - The Sight for the Sightless Programme. The programme focusses to eradicate blindness developed through cataract in and around the villages of four districts of Maharashtra. Since its inception (August, 2003), the institute has successfully performed more than 15,775 free eye surgeries.

Mr. Pishu of Penang is one of the most dedicated volunteers heading the Meatless Day Campaign of Sadhu Vaswani Mission. Mr. Pishu informs us that the former President of Indonesia, Ibu Megawati Soekarnoputri, has also pledged to go meatless on November 25.
Sadhu Vaswani Mission’s youth wing called Bridge Builders held a question and answer session with Dada J.P. Vaswani. Gitanjali Rai, teacher of Art of Living course, sang bhajans and had the audience clapping to her beat.
