Sadhu Vaswani’s 126th Birthday Celebrations
St. Mira's Schools 22nd Nov 2005

The celebration in the Mira Hall started by the students of both schools presenting Dadaji with the donations they collected. Each student donated 5 rupees for the cause of buying musical instruments for the Asha Institute for handicap children, run by the AWWA (Army Wives Welfare Association). The instruments will be donated to the institute on the 25th of Nov.
The total amount that was collected by the students for this noble cause was Rs. 5860/-

Beloved Dadaji in his talk welcomed the new Headmistress of the Secondary School – Mrs. Kiran Jotwani. Then he asked the students whether they know the difference between a seer, a sage and a saint. Dadaji explained: “A saint is a holy person - a Godly person, a sage is a man of wisdom and a seer is one who can see into the future.” He said further that all these 3 things were combined in Sadhu Vaswani. Sadhu Vaswani was a blend of all these 3.

After telling the students some incidents from the life of Sadhu Vaswani, Dadaji answered questions asked by the students in a question answer session.

One of the interesting question that was asked was “How to avoid temptations?” And he answered: “Avoid the occasion!”
“If you want to avoid temptation – avoid the occasion!” he said.
What is meant by that? Dadaji explained that if we want to avoid temptation, we should not put ourselves in a situation that would lead us to do something we don’t want or like to do. He said that if we know that there is temptation on the way that we walk on – we shouldn’t take that way, we should choose another route.

The beautiful programme was concluded with the students enacting a scene from the life of Sadhu Vaswani prepared by them for beloved Dada.
