Sadhu Vaswani’s 126th Birthday Celebrations
St. Mira's College 21st Nov 2005
Beloved Dadaji was warmly welcomed in the college by the Principal, some students playing the band and a long line of devotees, workers and students eager to receive his blessings.

The Sanctuary Hall and outside were over flooded with students waiting to listen to his words of wisdom. Dadaji was lovingly welcomed by Prof. Khot who, along with a student, presented him with the pledges collected by the students of the college - over 1 crore 5 lacs - from people who promised to refrain from meat eating on the 25th of Nov. Prof. Khot informed Dadaji that all the students of the college pledged to refrain from meat eating on 25th of Nov as well.

Beloved Dadaji expressed his gratitude to all the students for their efforts, and then talked a little about Sadhu Vaswani. In the course of his talk he said, “Sadhu Vaswani believed in opening schools and colleges for girls because he believes more in women than in men.” Dadaji elaborated, “Sadhu Vaswani said that men have had their chance, but they have built up a civilization of hatred, violence and strife. A new civilization has to be born, and of this new civilization women will be the high priestess.” Dada called all the students to participate in the building of this new civilization, and added, “But before you can build a new civilization, you must build your lives. And therefore Sadhu Vaswani kept these 4 ideals before the women of India: purity and prayer, simplicity and service.” “Build your life in these 4 ideals,” Dadaji urged the students, “and in the days of your growing womanhood you will be able to build a new civilization.”

After an inspiring question and answer session beloved Dadaji inaugurated the Sun Dial clock in the Botanical Garden, the Bal-Mela for under privileged children and also the expansion of accommodation over the Indu Lakhsmi Auditorium.
