“The Humanitarian of the Year” Award presented to
Dada J.P. Vaswani in Florida

“The Humanitarian of the Year” Award was presented to Dada J.P. Vaswani by the Mayor of the Town of Southwest Ranches, Florida, Mayor Meeca Fink, amidst thundering applause at a crowded meeting was held at the South Florida Hindu Temple. Giving the honor, Mayor Fink said she was privileged and honored to have been in the presence of Dada J. P. Vaswani and to have heard his words of wisdom. “It is with deep respect and reverent honor” she added, that the state of Miami was presenting the Humanitarian of the Year Award to Dada J. P. Vaswani , in recognition and gratitude for his dedication to spiritual leadership for people everywhere.
Dada J. P. Vaswani delivered a 70-minute enlightening talk on the 7 Commandments of the Bhagavad-Gita. He cited inspiring examples from the lives of the Great Ones of humanity who have derived their inspiration from the Bhagavad-Gita and regard it as a Bible of Humanity. The 7 commandments narrated by him were:
Thou shalt not identify thyself with the body.
Thou shalt always do thy duty.
Thou shalt do thy duty and a little more .
Thou shalt keep thy daily appointment with God.
Whatever thou doest, thou shalt do it for the love of God.
Thou shalt rejoice in everything the Will of God brings to thee.
Thou shalt always seek the lowest place.
The entire evening was spiritually uplifting and the audience was happy to receive the message of Dada J. P. Vaswani. Many of the attendees at the meeting were surprised that the message of the Bhagavad-Gita was so simple and could be applied in their daily lives.
