Update on Dada's Health

Dear Friends,

Dada Shyam!

On Sunday 22nd, around 5 p.m., Rev. Dada began to suffer intermittent pain in the stomach. Dr. Thorat was called to attend on Dada, and diagnosed intestinal obstruction. All of us at the Residence had anxious moments, when Dada began to throw up. As the vomitting persisted, Dada’s pulse dropped, and he passed through a critical phase from which, with God’s grace and the Master’s blessings, he revived gradually. The Doctors advised that all food and fluid intake should be stopped, and Dada was put on drips.

For a period of about 13 hours, from 7 pm on Sunday to 8 am on Monday, Dada’s room was turned into a veritable emergency ward, with all emergency equipments brought in. No words of mine can ever be adequate to describe to you the devotion and dedication of the whole team of doctors who attended on Dada. They were at his bedside throughout the night, and left the Mission only in the early hours of the morning, after making sure that Dada was out of danger.

Devotees are keeping up continuous path of the holy scriptures and everybody at the Mission is praying for Dada’s speedy recovery. As I write this to you, Dada has been given his first fluid intake in 24 hours – 100 ml of Mosambi juice -- and Dada is now resting after his ordeal.

We request you to continue offering your prayers for Dada. Dada has taught us that the power of prayer is tremendous and that God will work miracles in our daily life when we turn to Him for support and strength.
