REPORT ON THE THANKSGIVING WEEK CELEBRATION

The week long celebrations for the Thanksgiving week for Dada J.P.Vaswani manifested in innumerable forms of service and prayer.
At the Shanti Clinic, ophthalmology service was performed through 194 free consultations and 50% concessions for 805 patients for diagnostics like ECG, X-Ray and so on.
Several skin disorder, cardiac, diabetes, plastic surgery, dental, ENT, pediatric, urology, cancer screening, alternative medicine camps were held to provide free consultations and treatments to the suffering and needy during the week. Thousand’s of the sick and suffering benefited from these camps.
On Saturday 18th at the Dada Mela, children belonging to lower income families, from mobile creches and schools, were given the opportunity to participate and enjoy through coupons worth Rs. 50/- each. As a parting gift each was given a steel thali, katori and glass. Also 125 Nurses from the Hospital were presented towels and snack packets.
On Sunday 19th, 94 Class IV employees of SVM were shown gratitude by being given Rs. 200/- each along with other useful snack items. Then they were invited to participate in the langar along with their families.
Monday 20th saw 50 blind people being gifted Solapur bedsheets and snacks and biscuit packets.
45 Mahavir Nivasi (Mentally retarded) on Tuesday 21st were showered with love through biscuits and snacks along with other material required by them.
50 blind were again taken care of on Wednesday 22nd with sheets and biscuits.
On Thursday 23rd, 45 children, whose parents are in the police department were showered with sheets, pillow covers, snack packets followed by dinner.
Service was performed in Friday 24th in the form of a Tape Recorder with radio, bhajan tapes, clothing, grocery and toiletries being given to 22 inmated of Gyan Sai Anath Ashram, Wakad, Pune.
Everyday the poor were fed, grains were given to brother birds. There were special service programmes for fishes and cows and dogs. The homeless also received a feast everyday. Free Bye–Pass Surgery will be performed from June 4th.
Among the various modes of prayer was the singing of the Mahamantra “Hare Ram Hare Ram, Rama Rama Hare Hare, Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare” as Akhand Kirtan from 10:15 am to 7:15 pm on February 23rd. The powerful vibrations that were created permeated not only the air we were breathing but also the inner confines of Dada’s room, enveloping him in an aura of love, health and strength.
