SVC will also again sponsor in October this year the annual Englewood Hospital Walk for Awareness to raise funds in support of uninsured women with Breast Cancer . Last year the SVC participants formed the largest contingent for this walk!

SVC Volunteer Group – Inauguration of a partnership with the Jersey City Animal Shelter, Jersey City , NJ . This follows the success of a similar program launched last year with the Secaucus Animal Shelter. Stray street cats and dogs are administered inoculations to make them healthy. They are then either released back into their environment, or domesticated and offered for adoption to caring families. Secaucus will this year again observe November 25 as Animal Rights Day . The Mayor works with the Center to publicize this day every year.
