MAHASHIVRATRI  REPORT

Yesterday was the annual day sacred to Lord Shiva – the day of Mahashivratri.  Amidst the Akhand bhajan and Kirtan, the crowing glory was the tribute paid by Dada to Lord Shiva who is dear to innumerable hearts.  This is so because the lowest of the low, the dispossessed and outcasts, those who quarrel, commit crimes and are sinful are dear to His heart.  Shiva, the Eternal Fakir, possesses nothing, can never be tempted and has but one desire – to destroy the ignorance of mankind.  He offers to all the wealth of His love.

It is but appropriate that the repetition of the Mahamritunjaya Mantra, which commenced on December 25, 2005 is culminating today at 1 pm, after Lord Shiva’s sacred day, because it is affiliated to Him.  This Mantra brings healing and strength because it asks to rent us asunder from attachment and desire and make us one with the Divine.

God’s grace and all the japas and prayers have definitely brought about a tremendous improvement in Dada’s health.  The energy that continues to flow to Dada has its roots in your prayers, which will, God willing, enable him to attend satsang daily in the near future.
