Dada's Yatra to dubai

     After two arduous years, the yearning land of Dubai was blessed with a visit from the revered dada J. P. Vaswani. But this was not a trip without incidents. From the very inception, increased airport security nearly caused dada to miss his flight. And this is where Shoba Budrani came to the rescue, much to the joy of all his followers in Dubai . She kindly gave up her seat to dada, opting to take a later flight along with Krishna Kumari and host Bhagwan Shivlani.

     Though the 14th was to be an eventless day, dada held a surprise gathering at the host, Bhagwan and Anju Shivlani's, house. Madhu sheri  and Renu  gidoomal sang beautiful bhajans, which, in dada's words, “transformed (him) to a different world.”

     The advent of the 15th saw a satsang being held at Bhagwan and Anju Shivlani's house. He used the occasion to praise the family saying that they strived tirelessly to serve all. Dada also used the occasion of Independence Day to talk of the plight of India and paid tribute to five saints, Swami Shanti Prakash, Swami Purukrishna, Paramhansa, Dharamdas and Aurvindo Ghosh and ---- The 16th of august saw a satsang in sindhi being held at the Astoria hotel. And like always, attendance was to the maximum capacity. This came as a surprise considering that the satsang was in the middle of the summer break in the sweltering heat and on a weekday. Truly shows the magical effect dada's sweet and wise words have on the people of Dubai .

     The satsang was a Rooh Rihan. Dada spoke of life and the purpose of our fleeting existence. He said that we have come to this world  to attain perfection and to achieve this  we have to go through the harsh fires of experiences. These are like our teachers in the school of life. And it is beyond us to escape because only after learning each lesson does man attain freedom. He further went on to say that desires hold a person back, unless the person can be in the world but not of the world and leave his desires behind. The final step towards god is when man realizes the futility of his desires, when he realizes that all is false only god is true and abiding  and then from the depths of his heart he cries out   I need thee and thee only “mukhe ta khapeen toon”  which  was the thought of the day .

     Dada left Dubai on the 17th to continue his journey, but made a promise to return once again and once again share with the people of Dubai his abundant wisdom.
