Chief Justice Of India Calls Upon Revered Dada.

Chief Justice of India, Mr. S. N. Lahoti and Justice Bhandari of Bombay High Court called to pay their respects to Rev. Dada J.P. Vaswani on Saturday 18th June.
The eminent jurists were in Pune on their way to inaugurate the new district court at Icchalkananji, and expressed the desire to meet Rev. Dadaji – and Dada readily agreed to receive them, along with their wives, their families and other members of the judicial delegation.

The meeting between the judicial luminaries and the spiritual leader, whom they admired and revered, was indeed beautiful. Chief Justice Lahoti recalled that he had visited the Mission on an earlier occasion and had the privilege of meeting Dada. Ever since then, he had longed to return and receive Dada’s blessings once again. He introduced Justice Bhandari to Dada and requested Dada to give a message for his benefit – indeed, for the benefit of the judiciary.

In his characteristic humility Dada laughed away the suggestion that he should be the one to give ‘messages’. However, a fascinating discussion ensued on the subject.
Dada observed that unless the judiciary had integrity and honesty, the society and nation could not hope to be safe guarded. Chief Justice Lahoti said that though there were strong provocations and compulsions, the judiciary fought strongly against corruption in its ranks. Dada spoke of the ideals of Purity, Honesty and Piety which made India great in the golden days of the past, and Chief Justice Lahoti responded emotionally: “We will bring back those ideals Dada. We will go back to those great days!”
“If we do, we shall be moving forward, not backwards,” said Dada.
The Justices expressed their profound admiration for Dada’s humility, sincerity and devotion to his Master’s cause. Dada expressed his happiness that the Indian judicial system was safe in the hands of men of integrity. For, as Dada observed, “When corruption enters the judiciary, it will truly be the beginning of the end.”
Chief Justice Lahoti assured Dada that there might be isolated instances of abnegation, but essentially no corruption in the judicial system.
The members of the delegation received gifts of dada’s books and desk-top calendars with Dada’s thoughts. Both Chief Justice S.N. Lahoti and Justice Bhandari remarked that they drew tremendous inspiration from Dada’s thoughts – for – the – day.
For two days, the Mission campus had been visited by security staff, and numerous police officials and dozens of police cars and official vehicles dotted the precincts. But in the conference room where Dada met the delegation, an atmosphere of spirituality, reverence and piety prevailed.
“How can we ensure that justice, equity and honesty triumph in the environment of Kali yuga?” the Chief Justice asked Dada.
Dada’s answer was simple and direct. “Each one of us must build an island of satya (truth) around us,” he said. “When these islands come together, we can create another satya yuga even in the environment of kaliyuga!”
It was indeed confidence- inspiring to behold the deeply spiritual side of these eminent men who play such a major role in shaping the destiny of India. The deep reverence and devotion with which they met Dada and received his blessings, spoke volumes for their sense of commitment and responsibility.
Dada saw them off personally – and all the people who had gathered in the Mission campus to catch a glimpse of the VIP – visit were moved to see that the Chief Justices held on to Dada’s hands with deep respect, reluctant to let go of him.
