As a part of
their Animal Welfare activities, the Sadhu Vaswani Mission has introduced
a mobile veterinary clinic which was inaugurated on May 21 by Dada J.P.
Vaswani followed by a function attended by the heads of a number of villages.
The van will be covering a distance of 50 kms everyday and will reach out
to about 22 villages. It will be equipped with modern instruments required
for treating the animals and for 'on-the -spot' analysis by a well-trained
doctor. The vehicle will visit villages on pre-determined routes and will
render their services for minimal charges. "We will charge the cost
of medication and a nominal charge as fees, for those who can afford it.
But the cost of medication is the minimal we will recover", said Rajan
Israni, representing the Sadhu Vaswani Mission, for this project.
The Mission
also organises Free Veterinary Check up Camps at village Lavalay in Mulshi
Paluka, every year. Food and Mouth disease Vaccination facility (using
oil-adjurant vaccine) is provided to large animals, free of charge.

in the country, said Dada J.P. Vaswani at the inaugural function.

Vaswani urged the State Government on May 21, to allot land to start a
veterinary hospital in Pune to treat and protect animals. He made a fervent
appeal to people not to kill animals.
The government
is unable to start such hospitals due to various reasons, hence the mission
has taken the lead in treating animals by starting a hospital. Dada concluded
