Dada
J P Vaswani visits Singapore from
June 1st - June 11th 2002

Much before the arrival of flight
AI 432 on June 1st, devotees started to gather at the airport's arrival
lounge. Joy was written on their beaming faces. Hugs were being exchanged,
for our beloved Dadaji, was near so near and we were infused with love.
Once
Dadaji was in sight, the smiles got wider, eyes twinkled, faces beamed,
words disappeared, our Gurudev was in our midst. Our hearts overflowing,
we requested Dadaji to take a seat in the arrival lounge and oblivious
to all except our Guruji, we, one by one, sought his blessings which we
received plus sweets and chocolates. Then Dadaji left for Rupo Chugani's
residence, where he would be residing till 5-06-02. Later that evening,
Dadaji attended our daily evening Satsang at Sadhu Vaswani Centre.(S.V.C.)
at 127 Marshall Road. Thrilling vibrations were felt by most of us in
Dadaji's presence. Dadaji then went for a walk at the EastCoast Parkway.
That evening after dinner , Dadaji spoke on the importance of daily satsang
and expressed his joy at the beautiful vibrations in the prayer hall of
our Centre. We cherish the precious moments spent in the presence of Gurudev.
On June 2nd our Sindhi brothers and sisters turned out in large numbers
for the informal chit-chat in Sindhi, as usual the ruh rihan revolves
around a central thought for the day. Dadaji's thought for that day was
" Kareen cho piyo phireen hii bhojha ain bharah, kar havaley Hotje,
aheen tun unjho bhar". In English, "Oh why are you carrying
these heavy burdens, hand them over to the Lord for you are His child.
All listened to this simple solution of letting go of problems and also
Dadaji cautioned once we handed over our problems then we must stop pondering
over the problem otherwise the Lord does not take over, he lets you handle
your own problems if you keep worrying. Most of us went home light and
cheerful that evening. On June 3rd at the Ruh Rian at Sadhu Vaswani Centre,
many came early to ensure they sit where they can behold Dadaji and what
a beautiful thought Dadaji shared with us. "Ajab bungalow milyo tokey,
po-ey varee biyo piyo goleen. Ra-hey tho san Husun waro, eeyo raaz natho
kholeen." In English, it means " An extraordinary bungalow you
have received , then why search for another. The Lord is residing within
you , that mystery you are not unraveling/" Dadaji made us aware
how precious our human birth is and we should not fritter it away, by
sense gratification, by the Paratman, the Lord. Dinner was served to all
and a beautiful recitation of Hanuman Chalisa in Sindhi, composed by Dada
J P Vaswani an audio tape as well as the written version was given to
all present.
For the Question
& Answer session on June 4th many questions were submitted in writing,
but due to time constraint not all were answered. One of the questions
put forth was, whether one could marry out of the Sindhi community, a
very relevant question as many mixed marriages do take place by Sindhis
in Singapore. Dadaji replied it is okay, only if parents bless and consent
to the marriage, for we have got our human birth through our parents and
we must obtain their blessings. I am sure many hearts were put to ease
by this and many other illuminating answers that Dadaji gave. Dadaji gave
prasad to all present as well as a packed dinner box were offered.

Anjali group
comprises of 28 ladies who meet on the first Thursday every month, the
name Anjali also belongs to Dadaji, this time the meeting was on June
5th,. The ladies discuss on the Noori Granth and spiritual matters as
well as do charity. The "Vachan"from the Noori Granth was taken
in Dadaji's presence and Dadaji explained that Radheyji stands for all
beauty in eternity and in the universe. Once again he reminded us to yearn
for the Lord as the miser will yearn for his gold. Ddaji blessed and distributed
prasad to all, a very moving beautiful meeting. On June 6th Dada met the
children of Sadhu Vaswani Class. When Dada arrived the children of the
class dressed Dada up like a Raja and wore a 'pagdi' round his neck -
this made them very excited. Then, Dada told a story with the moral that
'the more you help others the more god will help you'. The two evenings
of June 8th and 9th Dada gave a talk on 'Life After Death' at the Singapore
Conference Hall. The talks started with heart stirring "kirtan "
and "Vachan" from the Noori Granth. We were also given an insight
to the activities of Sadhu Vaswani Centre- Pune on the 8th via the screen
and on the 9th the documentary of the Life and teachings of Sadhu T L
Vaswani was played. We were enlightened on both the evenings on "
Life After Death" by Dadaji. Our anxieties and fears on death were
dispelled and we got glimpses of life eternal and beautiful.Dadaji gave
three practical suggestions:-
1. When death occurs, you will be asked by the being of light ,"
What have you done with your life ?" Therefore, prepare now, serve,
practice silence and meditation, and form association with holy man, your
"Isht Devata", Keep on accumulating acts of service , so that
the day you leave you will be rich.
2) Let the passage through the etheric double be swift and instant, therefore
do not form
attachments to forms and names nor to possessions. You do not belong to
anyone nor
does anyone belong to you. Nothing belongs to you.
3) Be a blessing unto others. Help others and remember only this that
others are here so
that we may help them. It is in the house of heart that we have to dwell.
Dadaji then related a story of a 12 year old girl who was dying with a
smile on her face for during her life she had made Jesus her friend and
so when the nurse asked if she was afraid of dying she said," The
beloved is here, Why must I Fear In his arms I rest For he knows best."
Therefore, always during lifetime form association with the Holy Ones,
then departure from this world is sweet for they come to meet us, All
too soon Dadaji's departure is night on 11-06-02 for Bangkok, we offer
our gratitude and pray that he returns soon to us here in Singapore.
Thank You Dadaji.
