DADA's 84th Birthday Celebrations

Dear Brothers & Sisters:

It is our pleasure to give you the details of the "Eleventh Sadhana Camp - 2002" to be conducted by Pujya Dada J.P. Vaswani at Hamilton Park, Florham Park, New Jersey, from August 30 to September 2, 2002.

The camp activities will include spiritual meetings, satsangs, guided meditation, question and answer sessions, Walk-a-thon with Dada and also rest and recreation. All camp activities, including the walk-a-thon, are open to the registered camp members only. Relatives or friends, dropping you off or picking you up, are allowed to come up to the hotel lobby area only.

Each family will be assigned a separate room. The total charge for the 4-day camp will be as follows:

Per Adult..............................$250.00
Children (age 5 to 12 years)....$150.00
(Children under 5 years are not allowed)

The above charges are based on double occupancy, hotel accommodation for three nights and all meals served during the camp period. Any other charge at the hotel (e.g. room service, etc.) will be the responsibility of the registered individual member and should be settled with the hotel directly.

Registration to the Sadahna Camp is limited and will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. We strongly suggest that in order to avoid disappointment those who wish to join the camp should respond immediately by mailing the check with enclosed registration form to:

Rules framed by the committee are being sent herewith. Please read these rules carefully before sending the application since strict compliance will be expected of all participants. By submitting your application you agree to abide by the camp rules without exception. Request for refunds will not be entertained.
All checks should be made payable to SADHU VASWANI CENTER.

CAMP RULES

THE ELEVENTH SADHANA CAMP - 2002

TO BE HELD AT "HAMILTON PARK", FLORHAM PARK, N.J.

AUGUST 30 THRU SEPTEMBER 2, 2002

1. The camp is a place of self-discipline. All members are expected to cooperate in creating an atmosphere that is absolutely necessary to maintain the sanctity of the camp.

2. All participants are expected to be on the campus at all times and will not leave the grounds without the consent of Arjan Mirpuri.

3. Only registered participants will be permitted at the Camp. No visitors are allowed to visit the camp at anytime. Relatives or friends dropping you off or picking you up are allowed to come up to the hotel lobby area only.

4. Punctuality and attendance in all programs will be required including the early morning sessions.

5. Participants will not be permitted to drink alcohol, smoke or read newspapers, etc. during the entire period of the camp.

6. Participants will not be permitted any other activities which are not part of the official program.

7. No reading other than spiritual literature is permitted.

8. No gossip, idle talk or telephone calls will be permitted. Participants will be expected to observe as much silence as possible.

9. Ladies and gents should avoid communicating with each other unless necessary.

10. All parents with children are requested to make sure their children attend all sessions of the camp (excepting guided meditation sessions for children under 12).

11. It will be the parents' responsibility to see that their children maintain silence and discipline during a camp session and, if necessary, escort them out of the main hall so that other participants are not disturbed.

12. All parents will be expected to devote some time to take care of the children during the camp sessions. Kindly plan some activities for the children so that they are kept occupied and entertained during the camp sessions. Parents are requested to bring books, games etc. for the use of their children.


COMPULSARY RETREAT DRESS CODE

All girls and ladies are requested to wear Indian dresses only, like Salwar Kameez or Sari. No other outfit will be allowed. All boys and men are not allowed to wear shorts.
