The new dawn broke, bringing in its trail a clear and bright day. It was also the harbinger of hope and encouragement, for despite some pain,Rev. Dada had been able to spend a comfortable night.
Throughout the night, whether asleep or awake, one heard the unbroken chant of ‘Hare Rama’, emanating from his lips. Rev. Dada greeted theday, and all of us with a cheerful smile.
Early in the morning, the renowned orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Sancheti,visited Rev. Dada in order to check him. When he emerged from his room, there was a look of wonder and amazement on his face.
He said, the name he has gained and his expertise in his profession had brought him into close contact with several sages and saints in India and abroad. But he has never felt at ease, for a personal one-on-one with any of them.
With Rev. Dada, he could comfortably sit and have tea, accompanied by small chit chats. Also, he had never come across a sage, who despite being in the throes of pain, was more concerned about the doctor’s care and comfort.
This humility, kindness, love and forbearance of Rev. Dada, totally bowled him over. Hence, for Dr. Sancheti, Rev. Dada was next only to God.
May our thoughts and prayers continue to flow towards such a beloved Guru, providing him with relief and healing.
